79740 THEMIX-SUMMITSSPECIAL
The Summits are a northern rock band making big headway into the music scene, and The Mix is proud to present an exclusive interview and a sneak peek at a couple of brand new tracks, recorded especially for the show. Described (by themselves) as "Frock-Rock" their genre defying upbeat sound has caused some big names in the industry to sit up and take notice just recently. Join them, at their own crib... playing some tunes and talking about: new recordings; life on the road; festivals and giving some hard-earned advice to all the up and coming bands out there about just how to break into the business. No strangers to the Glastonbury Unisigned Tent, they are appearing at the cream of the rest of this summers festivals: COCKERMOUTH ROCK FESTIVAL; SUNRISE / BIG CHILL FESTIVAL; NORTHERN GREEN GATHERING and THE MONSTERS OF SWILL, as well as (among many many other gigs along the way) appearing at: THE VERVE BAR LEEDS 24TH JULY, on 04 Dec 2008, 8pm, Joseph Wells Leeds, (Tickets : £5) This is going to be filmed for SKY TVs "Best of The Bands" programme on "Propeller TV" -channel 195.
